"LIOPETRI" FISHING REFUGE IN CYPRUS

2nd prize for the reformation of the "Liopetri" fishing village in the area of Liopetri in Cyprus

Our proposal for the natural park Potamos in Liopetri is based on the interaction of different planning systems arising from both the geometry of space, and the specific functions that are required. In the park we propose a variety of inner circulation depending on the natural environment. Those intuitions as well as the different programmatic functions, form a grid of points and lines which are the scars on the landscape orientation. The study area is produced by the helical riverbed that forms a new reality every time it fills with water. This provides a landscape in constant transformation for the whole area.
