The residence is located in a three acres land, filled with olives and golden meadows, in Ekali. The challenge in this project was to meet the customer's contradictory requests for the design of a building in Tuscan order and with large windows. After carefully studying the structure of the Tuscan order buildings and their landscaping we were able to comprehend the basic synthetic rules, relating to the few and small apertures, the peripheral arcade and the variety of volumes. We decided to create a double shell, based on the rule of the peripheral arcade and the variety of patios which we use for the lighting of lounge spaces. During the project we tried to integrate conceptual elements of the Tuscan order with a design logic that expresses a contemporary vision of living.
