The "Nyx Limassol" hotel is located on the Limassol coastal front, in one of the most important meeting points of the old town and Limassol shopping district with the seafront. Part of the hotel is an existing building that is being refurbished. The new design is trying to include the existing hotel in the new hotel concept. The unobstructed view to the sea was also the starting point for the main concept idea. The new building opens up to the view creating amazing views to the sea. In this way a single circular architectural mass is created that completes the city's exit to the frontal front in a unique way. The difference in the permissible heights of the buildings becomes part of the design and intensifies the concept of "wrapping around" and the creation of a 'spiral' leading to the rooftop. An outdoor restaurant is located on the top floor with a swimming pool and unobstructed views to the Limassol seafront.

The design examination process of the floor standing speakers consists of two basic rules - directions. The first direction is defined by the specifications of acoustic performance in a geometrical level - such as symmetry and the diminishing curvature of the morph from the level of the speakers and rear. The second rule relates to the components imparting the characteristics of a sculpture that constitutes a powerful spatial idea in which function is imprinted. As a result, form and function serve industrial design equivalently. The cabin design of "Blade" is defined by the process of α shell being incised. A curved vertical form is joined with a sharp edge - like an exclamation mark - in order to define a curved surface. It is then repeated on the fixed axis, shaping the shell. "Ellipse" is designed with a similar logic; the intersection of ellipses in three-dimensional space. Again, the shape results from the concept of the object being incised. "Edge" is the result of an opposite morphological process that consists of removing and sculpting a monolithic volume with the intention of producing triangular peaks and edges similar to those of a rock.

The main idea derives from the redefinition of the notion of the conventional dual-pitched roof which is obligatory in the area. The invention of a gliding system that applies both on the plan level and z axis is the most important design element used. As a result, the building consists of 2 bars-volumes, each with a single-pitched roof. The two volumes that are drawn apart from each other create the illusion of a traditional dual-pitched roof if connected. Recessed areas and protrusions can be found in each bar as to pinpoint the entrance, open spaces and the 4 bedrooms respectively.

This project concerns the façade design of a multi-storey hotel in the center of Nicosia. Located nearby are two of the most notable examples of contemporary architecture with international outreach: Jean Nouvel’s Tower and Zaha Hadid’s Eleftheria Square. Our proposal aims to create a landmark within the dense network of notable architecture in modern Cyprus stating novelty, locality, recognizability and contemporary designing abilities, while responding to the demands of international architecture.
Our initial focus was the comprehension of the “naked” building geometry and then covering it with a shell that would be configured in relation to the interior spaces and the various activities that take place. There are two dynamic elements in particular - the swimming pool on the roof and entrance in the ground floor. These main spaces contribute to the overall extroversion and visibility of the building, penetrating the solid shell and revealing the inside. Moreover, they are creating a unifying opening that runs along the shell defining their importance. The dynamic of the opening is mostly enhanced at the top of the building, through a triangular canopy roof that is part of the shell as it turns and gets integrated with it. The shell obtains prismatic plasticity through the dynamic lines and triangular shapes that enclose the various parts of the building to a single form.
The prismatic shell is ruptured into a grid of thin louvers. Horizontally, they add up to the floor levels, relating the human scale to that of the building. Vertically, they interchange in size and thickness according to the interior, alternating the principle of the shell in a dynamic way. By doing this, the whole building exudes the feeling of interchanging elements that drift along. The cover of thin louvers constitutes a single metallic structure that is part of the curtain wall of the building.

Esperia Hotel is one of the most important buildings in the center of Athens. The hotel ceased its operation around 2010 and the need for restoration is obvious. The area in which the building is located constitutes one of the most important axes of the historic center of Athens, next to very important buildings. The new façade of the building needs to be integrated into the urban fabric.
In our proposal we seek to restore the intention of the original drawings of the building by unifying the elements of the façade into a new system. Using the elements of the existing façade, that is the grid of the balconies and the horizontal elements of the rooftop, we propose the creation of a 'filter' which highlights the particular architectural elements of the building.
On the lower floors the vertical elements are denser in order to protect the visitor from the hustle of the city and the busy street. On the top floors they become increasingly sparse, allowing unobstructed views of the city. Another element added to the filter is a green system with vertical plants alternating with the vertical elements of the façade.
The design of the hotel aims both to serve the guests staying in the rooms and to create the right conditions for hosting events and any type of gatherings.
The main restaurant is located on the 9th floor, with unobstructed views of the west side of the city and the Acropolis, while a small dining area is created on the terrace next to the rooftop swimming pool.

The shape and orientation of the plot determine the basic compositional decisions concerning the design of the complex. The need for panoramic view of Vardiani island defined the geometry of the composition. For that reason, the main axis was placed parallelly to the northeast limit that is adjacent to another property and serves the previous intention. The entrance to the area is at the west side of the plot. The reception building, including the common areas, is located 15 meters further. A rectilinear walkway begins from the northeast side and connects the common areas with the center of the plot and the suites. At the center of the plot, a wild pear tree stands at its natural position. At this point, as part of the natural landscape, the walkway begins to branch directing to the buildings. This way, the buildings and general structure constitute a spatial representation of the tree form.

An apartment of the typical 1930’s Athenian apartment building in the center of Athens is transformed into a contemporary residence of a photographer. Today, after almost 90 years, the space gains a dual meaning, serving both as a residence and as a gallery for temporary exhibitions.
The floor plan is no longer divided into small, autonomous, static spaces. Various islands in the new open-space plan, create new visual flows and allow multiple movements and views.
During the visitor’s tour through the apartment-gallery, the photographs gradually reveal themselves through the corridors and the openings, as other exhibits. The navigation among the various frames, redefines the relation between the user and the exhibition, as the user is now in the center of all the spatial frames that are produced. The individual frames of the gallery apartment in connection with the photographs of the artist, transform the living into a diverse exhibit.
The alternation of the materials enhances the feeling of the three-dimensional spatial frames. Oak, marble, white and dark surfaces intertwine with each other and create new photographic exhibits. The same logic defines the selection of the rest of the equipment. The lights, the mechanical equipment and the furniture have such form, geometry and location that they become instead of useful and lifeless objects, objects of a wider exhibition of photographs, landscapes, spatial frames and people.

In the intensely developed touristic area of Laganas, the new hotel is a challenge. It is a new hotel complex with a capacity of 195 rooms and 528 beds, which at the same time has to cover the tourist need for accommodation as well as the aesthetic criteria. The shape of the plot and its orientation determine to a large extent the basic synthetic principles of the complex. The spaces are arranged in such a way as to achieve the privacy and the view. Colors and materials are chosen in a way that the complex becomes part of the landscape and has a positive effect on the psychology of the visitors.
